VW "Delta" OEM headunit

All,
I've heard mention (mostly from Golf owners) of a replacement upgraded headunit to the VW OEM "Gamma" unit, called the "Delta". I was wondering if anyone can tell me a bit more about it (got any pics?), as I understand it provides better quality sound than the Gamma? Presumably through use of a more powerful internal amp...
Does anyone have any further information on this unit? All I have so far is that it would replace the Gamma unit in the car, and provides better sound quality. So; is it possible to fit one into a Polo GTi, and does it have the necessary controls for a 6CD changer?
