Automatic Transmission Fluid

Does anybody know where or if there is a seperate dipstick to check the transmission fluid on an automatic 44KW MkIV? I have an interested craping noise that only appears under acceleration once the car has warmed up, only happens when the car is in gear, and changes pitch as the gear changes.
Many Thanks

If there's no second dipstick in the engine bay, there should be a clear plug visible somewhere on the gearbox. ATF fluid is critical, best not to leave it unchecked.

Yeah if there's no dipstick to check it, all I can think of is to visually check, which requires the car to be on a ramp.
