nice :) top job
handy it fits, thats the beauty of owning a lower model to everyone else (like me) all the stuff is there ready to upgrade ie. foglights and a few simple screws to replace a grille.
unless you want gti sideskirts grrr

Thanks :)

I think the standard one was not too bad, cos it was colour-coded, but yes, this one is better... here is the before picture:

Yep I guess that's true, thankfully mine came with fogs fitted :D

My sideskirts are the all in one piece part of car one's, guess you are reffering to those, shame they can't be added to yours :(

yep they are part of the body unfortunately and there isnt really much choice for aftermarket sideskirts and you worry whether they would fit or not, buying from Germany.

That looks good, but then again I would say that since I have one of those grilles already! All you need now is a black VW badge and you are sorted!

Top work! You'll now notice when you next wash the car that your beautiful new mesh grille holds more water than the Irish sea and takes ages to dry out

Looks 8) though, nice one.

Cheers, recon the black badge would look 'right' as car is silver?

Can someone tell me if the lower grille pieces are different on a GTI, more honeycomb style or the same as what I have already? Thanks

lower grilles on the gti are honeycomb yes, as opposed to just solid grilles
