Hi guys,

Im going upon recommendation from a mate. I dont own a Polo however I have a 2003 SEAT ibiza sport which has the 1.4 16v 100bhp engine stolen from the lovely Polo.

The 100bhp engined Ibiza for SEAT is not all that common and therefore I am struggling for information in regards to tuning. Any info would be gratefully received.

Ideally looking for what induction kits are out there and such like. Hopefully you will welcome another VAG car owner despite not having the VW badge :D

Cheers guys

Rob

As far as tuning goes the engine is very limited and pretty much maxed out as stock. However, it is technically the same engine as in the GTi, just not bored out. So you could get it bored out to 1.6, ECU remap and you'd be looking at about 130bhp. BMC induction kit is available, not much horsepower but I believe it makes a nice sound, then you've got your usual exhausts etc which could be custom made from the likes of powerflow etc.

Just some thoughts.:)

i heard the opposite! because its sat on the top of your engine it gets very very hot! no heat sheild and you are now sucking in hot air.

of corse im going to say get a BMC because they are ace! :D there is now a chip avalible from JBS, but it all depends on how much you want to spend? if you've got the money you can buy a turbo kit for £2500. you mite get more info from the seat ibiza part of the fourm.

ive heard that there are gains of around 5hp in the cold. (based on a 9n btw, so i think they have the same engine 1.4 16v 100hp)

Gas flow it, cams, BMC induction and a sporty manifold and you would easily get 120 bhp !
