new seal to roof aerial

the seal around the aerial near where it meets the roof has perished. i rang vw today and they are £58 +vat +fitting. what a load of *(&%$
apparently you have to get the complete unit.

Rubbish.
Do a search for posts by me and you'll find the part number of the repair kit.

Balls, I can't find my post...
Trust me though... There IS a repair kit for this as I fitted it to my old GTi.
It comes with the rubber seal for outside the car, a small rubber O Ring for inside and a new bolt for inside, all in a nice little plastic bag!
Cost me next to nothing!

u cant but the bit at the buttom it self and the hole unit from vw is 65
im not payin 65 of a bit of rubber
wat can u do

This kit would come in very useful. Mine is perished aswell.
When i chammy the car down after washing it, the rubber transfers onto the chammy and surrounding paintwork. Highly annoying.

I don't keep invoices for low value items...
I remember the part number being posted on UK-MKIVS by a dude from the Bahamas, but the search is all screwed up on there at the moment.
