The guy had got it from standard to that stage in about two weeks, which is very good going. Obviously it wasnt running, but I'm sure it will be in the future.
It needs completely seam welding through the whole car with some serious bracing and a cage too.

true that karl
im interested in finding out what hes doing with the stock engine as if its removed completly then hes going to have some dead weight in the front suspension but if he leaves in in then it might be a little more controlable

looks like all ancilleries (battery, pumps and fuel cell) will go in the front as theres not much room in the back!

and i just realised that if the engine bay is stripped too then itll be a wheelie machine

It will be a wheelie machine anyway. It did have the original engine in the front at the show, just so he could move it on and off the trailer. Even with the battery, fuel cell and other stuff its still going to need as much weight as it can on the front. Those Audi V8 engines must weigh a lot.

assuming its the 3.7 l
then the block with pistons, crank, rods and sump weighs in at 195 kg then add all the other engine parts and transmission and then all fluids and sterengthening anfd the subframe and youve got some weight
