Now, this is ingenious

Obviously, the image of the car itself has to be superimposed, but just thinking about this - this is really clever stuff. First time for a while that I've been truly impressed by an innovation:

Link for the explanation of what this actually is.

It's worth noting that they don't include images of any other cars -- these would obviously be *very* distorted as they'd be photgraphed from the side and manipulated to appear as if from the top.

Deek.

A fantastic idea, but the cameras would make the car look uglier. I know that the rear cameras/sensors you find on cars are quite hard to spot, but if your car is covered in them it would affect the look of the car. I like a nice smooth car.

Still, a very good idea though.

Tell me that next time you try to find a parking space on a busy day and the only one left has been half taken up by some old dear who doesn't have a clue how to park straight!

given my parking record (not to mention the number of popped tyres on the polo, and how it's a miracle handed down by heaven itself that i havent yet kerbed the ashtray's alloys) i would rock that as if it were made from a stack of heavy metal vinyl melted down in a forge of pure thrash punk.

Ah yes, done that plenty of times before :D
I have also once got pissed off with the stupid woman who parked at an angle across two parking spaces that I squeezed in next to her leaving a 2" gap that she couldn't possibly have opened her door in (myself right within the lines of the parking space), and left through the sunroof  Unfortunately I wasn't gone long enough for her to return to her car and try to get in, would have loved to see that..

sunroof? you hero.......! but did you leave it gaping wide open whilst you were away?

i'd have tried for passenger door, or getting back in thru the boot to close the roof ;)

Nah, got back in through the rear hatch - no way of opening it from inside though ;)

Edit: to clarify, I have a glass wind up tilt only sunroof that you can pop out, then just drop back onto the latch to close it from the outside

It's just another gadget to take away the driving experience and skill from the driver.
