front seats dont tip forward

can these be fixed,, the cables running to the inside hooks are snapped, or do i need new seats???

Yeah, it's fixable, common problem. You can buy the cables from GSF for a couple of quid a set.

when you figure out how to run the cable from the handle to the releases please tell me how - i've got a couple seats sitting in the shed waiting to be fixed!

(mind you i didnt know the replacements could be got hold of so easily!)

for the time being you can release the seat back by reaching down the back and releasing the clips manually. after a while it becomes second nature and no more difficult than those cars where the handle is at floor level anyway

There's a row of clips holding the seat cover on at the base of the top half of the seat, bend those out and you can pull the cover back, and you'll be able to see where the cables run inside the seat.

yeah i have been having to reach down and pull the hook up by hand on the passenger side since i got it, but now the driver side one is knacked too, but i have to get it fixed as my m.o.t is up shortly.

lol i got thru the mot with mine like that.... not sure how. first the passenger side went, then the drivers.

put new, fresher, less limp / faded seats in to replace though, with cables still intact.

lol well maybe over the top but you seem to know the puzzling little things (well a lot of peeps on here do..)
