Ive got a quick yes or no amp wiring answer. the red wire for the power doesnt have a ring connector. i went to halfords to get one and he said that u HAVE to use a gold plated ring connector that mounts onto the battery. is this true or will a normal silver one do, cos i cant find any gold ones?

Not too sure on that one, but Halfords/Ripspeed should stock them, I got a spare one from there, in an Autoleads box?

Sorry I can't be of more help.

Yeah originally the wire came with a gold plated one, (the autoleads amp wiring kit) but i had to cut a bit of the wire off in order to shorten the distance between the battery terminal connection and the fuse. but i cant uncrimp and recrimp the one of the cut off wire. tried 2 halfrauds they said they do sell em in a pack of 4 or something in a autoleads box but they aint had them 4 a long time. ideally i doubt using a silver one will make a difference, but i think i better wait until i get a definete answer 4rm someone. thanks though dude.

use whatever you can get easily, mine is silver, works fine

the gold would be a better conductor perhaps, but to get the best from it, you need gold connectors thru out

gold conducts better than silver

unless you're running a top notch performance stereo i cant see it making much difference. i may be wrong though

tried maplins mate. they dont seem to have any...eventually just got some from b&q there thin but i doubt it matters and its silver. under 50p for a generous box of em. its only a 300w amp anyways, jus so i can get the max 4rm my 6x9s, so it aint nothing special. im sure itll work just as fine for the time being. cheers for your advice guys.
