Stalling GT

Anybody had a similar fault to this with their GT>>>>
Car used to start okay, and drove fine whilst on warm-up cycle (on choke so to speak) but as soon as the temp needle hit 70deg or first notch the thing would stall as soon as it pulled up at traffic lights etc and returned to idle. Would re-start fine and idle fine until it was driven and slowed down to idle speed again - then it would stall again.
At this point I changed the blue temp sender *just in case* as that is the usual advice given on running problems. No improvement though.

Gradually the running worsened when the car was warm and there would be an intermittant hesitation or kangerooing of the car when the throttle pedal was lifted when cruising on a dual carriageway etc.
Hooked it upto a diagnostic machine and no real faults were found as the car wasn't under load on the machine. Tried to richen up the mixture a bit to ease the stalling problem which was becoming dangerous at times but the air flow meter wouldn't allow much adjustment so was replaced with a second hand one from the classifieds on here. Adjustments then made and the car drove better for 24 hours, then started stalling and hesitating again, gradually getting worse and worse to the point where I won't drive it for more than a couple of miles. Hooked it upto the diagnostic machine once again and it's not really showing much up. Options now are to start replacing bits willy nilly 'just in case' or book it into a specialist Bosch service centre who are unlikely to want to replace bits they suspect with second hand stuff. Obviously new parts are going to be very expensive and many are unique to the GT it seems. Dilemma time.
The car is fourteen years old with genuine 113k on the clock, only two previous lady owners and the bodywork is pretty good despite the paint being badly faded. The car itself is probably thus only worth a few hundred quid at best when fully working and I don't want to book it into a specialist garage who are not familiar with it wanting me to spend hundreds of pounds, possibly, on electrical sensors that may or may not cure it's woes, when the value of the car is so very little.
Does anyone have any definate ideas or do I regrettably break the thing and put the bits on ebay?
Sorry if this sounds rather negative as I'm fond of the little thing, but becoming more disheartened by the day :(
Just don't want to throw good money after bad

Thanks

my car used to do this every now and again, i put a fuel system cleaner through and a new fuel filter and that cured it but then my ht leads broke down so i bought a set of leads and plugs, also just try cleaning and spraying ur ignition system with wd40. id give these a go first as there not too expensive to do.
hope you sort it

I had a similar problem on mine when I fitted an induction cone, I cured it by enriching the idel mixture. I have also been told that this can mask other problems. and making sure your igintion leads are cleans worth doing. If that does fix it i d recommend taking all of them off washing in warm soapy water then letting them dry over night. sounds mad but it the only way to get them clean properly as WD40 will in the end atrract more dirt
