even though i am skint, i have been looking at some bumpers. my origional thought was to keep the origional bumper and colour code it and put a spoiler on it. Now i am thinking about something a bit different. the two bumbers i am looking at are the rs and the rs2.
RS bumper:

RS2 bumper:
i like both of them but as i want to keep the side bump strips i feel it may look a bit odd, can anyone give any advise and which one they would have
also if i do go for one of these bumpers, here is the one i would put on the back:
if anyone can help, it would be much apreciated

Well that looks like the expensive way around....
Personally I don't like either of the RS style bumpers.. I'm gonna get a pre-primered pair of bumpers so that I can colour code them.
Some funky stuff can be done with a standard bumper and a tub of filler!!
The RS bumpers would need some pretty aggressive body stylng to pull them off..
and some of speedlaws pics..
some food for thought..

I think it all depends on what kind of body styling you have planned. IMO you cant go far wrong with 1/2 colour coded bumpers that you can buy pre-primed and smooth. I hope to get a set for mine.

Agreed.
This is one of nicest I've seen, simply because it's OE looking, but better. (Hope that makes sense...)
What I've found in my experience (which isn't too long, mind) is that small mods go a long way. To make a difference on your car, abstain from bumpers and all that (to save money, for instance). Instead, drop it on the ground and get some classy wheels. It's the basis upon which the entire look of the car will depend.
OTOH, it's your project, so do what feels right.
Just my two Euro cents.

That Polo above could be even better if they put the bloody bumper on straight in the first place.....

for now i think i have gone off the bumper thing. too hard to deside and to expensive. plus i would be making the car look fast when it really isn't!
so instead can anyone recomend a nice spoiler instead? for the front end i will be getting clear indicators, grill spoiler (not badboy) and probably a badgeless grill. does anyone recomend a suitable spoiler, and it doesn't even have to be an aftermarket one, it can be off another car all together, for example, i have seen one with a clio front spoiler, looks great!
