Hi I'm new here and was wondering if anyone has modded a caddy as I'm trying to see what parts are interchangable ( suspension, brakes and body) thanks :)

Hey!

And *Welcome*

The Caddy shares it's components with the SEAT Ibiza/Polo Variant/Sedan. So this means the engine compartment is slightly wider than our Mk4's, the brakes are a bit bigger (depending on model, they're the same or larger) and the engines are bigger.

The interior is practically 100% the same, but I'm sure there are minor differences.

All in all, I'm sure that, although similar, things like suspension, brakes, etc. are different from our models.

Hope this helpes!

Cheers,

tahnks for the advice speedlaw, do you reckon I could fit a polo 16v front bumper to my caddy if I cut and shut it? (the bumber that is, not my caddy :D )

Hello new boy!

If you want to speak to someone about your caddy then ring 01246 550 400 and ask to speak to James. he's responsible for the above caddy - tell him Josh and Karl have sent you and he'll sort you out! 8)

The bumper won't be a straight fit like you had already anticipated. I don't know if it's been done already, but I bet there's some bloke hidden in Germany that's tried it.

Perhaps a Seat Ibiza Cupra bumper would be easier? *don't know*

I expect the 16v bumper to be too small actually, but I honestly don't know for sure.

I have a 16v bumper on mine

my dad drives a Caddy as his work vehicle

i've just had a look at them and they seem similar sizes - the caddy bumpers don't seem as deep, but flares out more around the arches.

so

after much deliberation i think (providing the mounting brackets are the same) i shoul be teased on!
