interesting new alternator technology

i was in 2 minds as to where this should be, wheather ice or electrical) but ill put it here for the bass heads
its an article on some new alternator technologeys that due to the dence windings of the alternator coil allow theese to produce significantly more power and with less draw (parasitic loss) on the engine so you eng up with slightly more HP and more electrical power at the same time
i know this sounds impossible but its because they are a little more efficiant

I think it's fascinating stuff. Less weight, more efficiency... Do you reckon they can fitted to our (older) cars as well?

i dont think it will be easy but then again what is on a dub however i imagine that the price will be prohibitive so it could be a last resort solution

Perhaps in a couple of years we can scoop one up at the breakers from a Golf V or something...
