Drove back home today wondering what was making a funny knocking noise, and found my passenger side repeater hanging out!
Looks like the clips have broken, as theres no damage to paintwork so I dont think its been hit by another door! Odd...
Anyone know if euro car parts' replacements are OEM?

Don't know about euro car parts but if the repeaters they are selling are MHW then they'll definitely fit
The clips are fragile I've been told, but only if you're actually trying to remove them usually, not just at random! Take advantage of the situation and get some "crystal" style ones, as fitted to later-spec VWs

I once came home to find I'd been driving along with my main indicator unit dangling by its cable. As in the one beside the headlights

Lucky I didn't lose it. (just remembered this)

Cheers for that Si, I hadn't noticed they were any different!
I wonder how long the blu-tak will hold...
tigor - you're lucky it was still in one piece, my repeater's all cracked after bouncing about

one of mine is currently pretty damn lose because me being butter-fingers broke two clips and now the spring has nothing to grip onto.......
now i know what headlight protectors are for! to hold your indicator unit in place

think he meant the side repeaters polopowah, not the whole unit next to the headlight?

I've now got some later spec repeaters which I think must be the 'crystal' ones.
These actually have a metal spring clip to hold them in, not a bit of plastic like the old ones, much better design...

Plastic clips are a pain. They are either too stiff that your fingers break or so weak that the clips break.
My foglight connector clip is broken after I squashed that sodding dog. It sort or stays in, but comes loose after a while.
