had it for a while, thought it was one of the front wheels making the noise, went away when the clutch was in or i turned a corner.

took the wheels off etc at the weekend and one of the rear pads is metal on metal and the other isnt far off..

Have ordered a full set of aftermarket Discs and Pads from 2 of the brands i already supply so will keep you posted..

One thing i wanted to ask is - is the noise some kind of low pad indicator, i have heard of wire in the pads before ....

Cheers alll

John

i am having a problem similar to yours, my rear discs/pads seem to be squeeking only when going striaght, and not all the time, its only the rear as when lifting the handbrake a little when driving, the noise goes.

I asked you for the best pads on porka (JoeMK5 on there). Let me know if it solves your problem.

Cheers
