out of interest

....what are the two sensors that plug into the top rear of the cylinder head, near the cambelt end?

i've just had a little adventure removing the intake so i can do a quick clean and replace the gasket, had to disconnect the spade-clip connections on these two. never really paid em much attention til now. very mysterious looking thingies with no clear purpose?

now im wondering --- about to go take advantage of sudden dry spell

ive got to...
wipe off and oil up the crank, top and bottom bearings, and torque them together with their bolts
check clearances
put the oil pump pickup back (bolted...)

anything else that needs done before I put the sump back on, that ive forgot?

lol i did nearly forget the gasket, then remembered where about an hour of yesterday went ... removing the old one. damn!

not sure where my drain plug is, it's been bugging me today.... where could it have gone??? still that can wait, the oil wont be going in proper until the head's on after all.

Drain plugs are only about a quid from gsf anyway so no major problem ;)
