OBVIOUSLY SOME PEOPLE WOULD HAVE DONE THIS THEMSELVES BUT NOT ALL KNOW HOW TO DO THIS, ME BEING ONE OF THEM...LOL

FEW MONTHS BACK PEOPLE WERE CHARGING AROUND £50-£70...
NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN ITS BECOME £100-£160...

BASICALLY I NEED THE HOLES CUT ON MY SHELF FOR THE 6X9s, SUB, AMP CONNECTED.... IF ANYONE KNOWS SOME PLACES IN MIDDLESEX I COULD VISIT THAT WOULD BE APPREACIATED... & IM JUST CURIOUS HOW MUCH YOU LOT PAYED.. )

Why don't you go n buy a saw, some screws and a screw driver (maybe some pliers) and do it yourslef, then use the money for a better cause (good beer money).

Whats stopping you mate? I made myself a new parcel shelf from scratch for about £30 - carpet n all. All ive got is a bit of DIY skills in cutting wood n that. £160 just to install sounds like a complete rip-off to me!

I dont know where to start... I seen some thing in the diy forum about fitting but the thing that confuses me the most is how to get to the battery & what do i do when i eventually get there..

i paid a guy £100 for a new shelf making,my components puttin in with crossovers mids and tweeters wires up,6x9s puttin in that shelf,all wiring putting in,two amps and a sub.really tidy job but ive since took it all out and re-arranged it,if you fancy a drive he'll do yours two mate

not sure about the long drive mate lol... £100 seems half reasonable considering all work gone into it... i wouldn't really pay more than 100...

In my opinion, forget the 6x9's.

Get some quality front component speakers and amp them. But that's just me!

You could also check out some ICE forums and Im sure they'll gladly point you in the right direction about wiring your ICE up....I didn't do mine myself, but my mate's a fitter at bassjunkies.

Running wires down your car is really easy, it's just knowing what to plug where and that's all the info you need! Could save yourself alot of money right there.

your right,ive noticed my components give most high end/vocals but i suppose the 6x9s dont hurt,they do give a bit of kick,theyre both amped seperately.its not worth getting your hands dirty if someone can sort it on the cheap for you is it mate,,plus wiring really winds me up,,, your right its a hell of a drive out mate

which car do you have?

oh, and which HU do you have? is it a simple case of threading the wires through the car? parcel shelf cant be that difficult surey? I could make you a stealth one in a couple of hours....

Basically I need the 6x9s put in the back shelf. The amp and bass box connected up. Wires through the car to the battery.

and if it doesn't take me long i won't charge as much! I can wire in an amp to a mk4 in about 2 hours, including wires from the HU, but sometimes it gets tricky.

problem is, I'm pretty busy with a house move at the mo....

to be honest you can easily have a go yourself - it can't go wrong really. the trickiest bit sometimes is taking the HU out to get round the back (depends on the model)!
