I tried tonight to change my front discs, But unfortunatly i got the wrong size of disc, I got the 256mm instead of the 239mm.

Anyway i got this far and came into problems.
Removed the 2 Screws at the back of the calipers
Removed the caliper away from the disc.
Removed the screw that holds the disc in place.

Then
when trying to remove the disc it was bloody solid. I tried chapping it with a hammer from the front and the back to try and losen it but i still had no joy. According to the haynes manual that is all the is holding the disc on, Is this correct. If so what method should i try to get the disc free.

It looks like the discs has some oxidation(?) on the back site. The screw is idd the only part that keeps the discs inplace.
I Don't know if you overthere know WD40 ? But that would do the trick.
Spray in from behind and let the WD40 do its lubrication work.
And with the "shocktherapy" the discs will lose this battle
