Looking to sell my mk4 and buy a gti but not sure how much it's worth. Any ideas?:

P-reg CL, 1996, e/w, e/m, FSH, 88k miles, alloys, sony stereo & 6 disc cd changer, uprated front speakers, smoked indicators & rear clusters, stealth parcel shelf, uprated exhaust, induction kit, 12 months tax, 12 months MOT. The bodywork is in pretty good condition apart from a few minor scrathes/cracks.

not many people go for red... so in my view id never get any red car thats just me... considering all you've done to the car in my opinion id say you can get somewhere between £2500-£3200 depending where you live bcos some places are cheaper than others

I remember looking at a price guide booklet... mine's a 98 R also red 1.4CL, it was listed as £2495 private sale.

So even though you've modded it up abit... its still going to be there or there abouts.

You got any pics of it?

you'd probably get more selling it as a standard car and then selling the following bits separately.

Alloys, uprated front speakers, smoked indicators & rear clusters, stealth parcel shelf, uprated exhaust and induction kit.

Was thinking of selling the parcel shelf separately and putting the original air box back on but it's too much hassle to change the rest back to original.

Will try and get some pics up.

Iduno I paid 2200 a month ago for minewhich is totally standard... No bargains in my area. Would have happily paid bit extra for a few extra mods.

I dont think its worth 2k, i'd say more like £1500.
But if you're in no rush just advertise in autotrader, see what the others are going for.

minus the mods £1500, but then u got hassle of selling mods seperatly lol

I am thinking of trading in the polo

A sales guy (who talk crap anyway) told me i would get £500 trade or about £1000 if i sold private

1996 6n 1.4 VERY tidy too (but its white)
