Just want to say hello as I'm very happy to say that I've recently become a proud owner of a Polo GTi and that I'd just like to say thank you to all you guys on the forum as you have been a valuable source of info. A big thanks to Josh as well who was more than helpful in providing advice and opinions about the car.

Josh, I test drove it the motor today, fell in love with it and I think the saleperson knew he had a sale and so I couldn't get much off the price (although I got some carpets and a key-ring!). Hopefully all going well should pick it up on Thursday...can't wait...

Off topic; A keyring plays an important part of a car-enthusiasts' life. I found myself buying a shiny 'Polo' one in Belgium... It's small things that make a difference

Oh in response to your previous questions, the seatbeats, no red stitching, just black. The cables to the spark plugs are red with black caps, like yours I believe...

Oh, your keys (well question open to anyone) are they like normal keys with the alarm remote incorporated? Not like the nice rectangular fob with the 'key flicks out at the press of the button' action, if you know what I mean? Damn, thats what I was hoping for...

Can't wait, five days and counting...just hope I can get the cash by then!
