I'm thinking of integrating the dock for my ipod inside the ashtray. The problem is that the ash tray has a 12v cig lighter socket and that makes it too small, so is there a part I can order which is a full ash tray, with closing lid but no 12v socket?

I don't think that exists. You can always remove the cigarrette lighter as far as I know.

i have mine on dash in the tray. great place as with the rubber bottom on the dock it doesnt slip about at all! just an idea so you dont have to go pulling out your cig. lighter

Ah, I like what you've done but I've got the cubby box installed and I kinda like it...also I guess reaching up there could be a pain. If it was in the ashtray it would be easier to access I imagine.







That's my current install tho...guess I'll live with it for now
