Cheapest way to get more BHP

Right, obviously a Turbo conversion or Supercharger would do it, but I don't have a spare few grand.

I plan: Performance exhaust, Induction kit and the backend is stripped out for a bit of weight loss (Well it was stripped for other reasons, but i'm buying it stripped)

What else is there I can do for small pennies and more power?

Spike.

See either Hardhitter off here (his own section at the bottom) or Poloace off Porka about getting a chip for the ecu.

They wont make your GT into a F1 car but they will iron out the flatspots and give a bit more torque.

Also Hardhitter does custom Decat's for the mk3 (it involves cutting the cat off and welding a stainless steel pipe in place)
Definatley revs better once the cats gone.

he will tell you more

It will go through the m.o.t no problem if its a J plate and older as they don't need a cat by law.
