hey guys got a mk5 polo and a k&N induction kit ..... problem is that i think that the induction kit is soaking up the enigne heat!!! SO was gonna think about making a heat shield ...hAS ANYONE DONE THIS BEFORE and what sort of material should i use and what sort of thickness???

Also by removing the existing airbox im finding the engine more noiser does any one know what sort of sound deading material exists and where to get one from...thought i saw it on the mk5 16v polos

Does you bonnet have sound deadening material attached to the underside of it? If not, this is something you could get as a VW part and fit to help with the noise

thats the stuff im after anyone knows how much it costs???
