Better than a GAMMA?

Hey up,
So how much do i have to spend to get a better HU than the GAMMA then?
- Say i had about £450 to spend,............what do you guys suggest for a HU and should i use some of the budget on speakers and an Amp or something? You may have guessed i don't really know what i'm on about. I do like the look of the JVC DVD single DIN player though (looks like it would go well with the blue interior and double dials) - anyone got one?
