Hi All,
got the ebay bug and thinking of bidding on these:

would these fit my 51 plate 1.4TDI???
the guy says 2002 models onwards, i sent him an email and he said aslong as its 3 door you should be ok!
what ya reckon?

Yeah, Polo2K is right the 2002 onwards Polo is a 9n however those bars look aftermarket and none VW/VAG so they might actually fit but are you willing to take the risk?
However after purchasing some genuine bars from eBay and a genuine luggage rack from VW I wouldn't buy anything else. Because they are made especially for the model they fit perfectly, not much adjustment to be made, basically open the flaps in the roof, place on top the bars and then tighten. It's quick and it's clever and the best thing, nothing touches the paintwork, its all designed to be clear of it!
They are a bit more expensive, £110+ from the dealer but eBay throws up a set every so often, keep an eye out for them, they usually go for £45-50 depending on condition and remember that they are lockable with a key and should also have a torque allen key included to tighten it onto the roof.
