My drivers door is out of alignment.Facing the car it's the very top

left hand corner . I have to slam the door very hard to close it .I don't

think this does the window glass any favours.

I assume the door can be adjusted on it's hinges can anyone on here

tell me how to do this. Many thanks.

Bumped from DIY Guides.......

Bottom line is unless you are telling a how to it doesn't belong in DIY guides

What model of Polo is it mate? Just wondering that if it's a newer car it may still be under warranty (up to three years old) and fixable for "free" :)

Can you take a photo of the offending panel for us, or the hinges? I don't honestly know whether the hinges would be a difficult job to adjust, but you might need a mate or two nearby to help with holding the door in the right place if your undoing/redoing hinges!

Could always ask your local friendly dealership to have a gander at it? Having stripped my driver's door down and pulled out the motor/runners/other associated gubbins I had the whole lot down at the dealership and just showed them what I had, described the problem, showed them the car and got the answers I needed with no hassle whatsoever 8)
