UK-POLOS.NET - THE VW Polo Forum

Hey,
I'm new here..
My first car was a '95 1.0 polo- had it for three years- loved it but it just wasn't powerful enough..
Anyway- I've just sold my car (BMW- please don't boo me off the forum, lol) and I'm looking to re-enter the polo fold.
Thing is I have a labrador dog and I can't really remember how big the boot was in the polo (remember that it was oddly deep though), does anyone have a dog of a similar size that they cart around in their polo?
Do you think the boot will be too small?
If not a polo what do you all think of the golf? I only want to spend about £2000 on the car. How much more expensive is the golf to run and service compared to the polo?

I think the boot will be fine for the dog, but a bit cruel perhaps? dog's are hard, it'll be fine if that's the car you want?

Think you're looking at putting the back seats down, unless you get an estate.
