hi guys,
a few posts ago i explained how the surface of the red polo gti i recently bought was covered in swirls and scratches.
well its currently having some repairs, and i'm starting to wonder if a professional would be easier to get the car up to standard for me to maintain it.
anyone used any paint recovery or finishing services? what do you think?
what are the results/costs and techniques like?
thanks
nick

They will use a cutting compound, just take it to a good body shop and ask for it to be buffed! It should come up really well and be quite easy to maintain. When you wax or polish your car never move in circular motions

thanks dubpolo -
got to wait for some repairs to be done, then wait for three months before i can polish any of that paintwork - but after that i'll take it somewhere to have the rest of the paintwork done, stupid first owner washed it with gravel or something.
it wont do it any harm leaving it for the time being?
how much do you think a good bodyshop would charge?

Thats an old wifes tale...If you use the correct applicator pads you should have no trouble. Yo ucan get as many fine swirls/scratches going in a straight line too.
