Hey People
Back in early summertime around May, I had be thinking what can I do with the boot of a Polo, some you can understand my position as you have seen there is not that much room to play with!
Well around late June, early July I made the tough decision on what audio equipment I wanted…some of you may think that I’ m crazy or turned your back because you thought I was just plain stupid BUT they were wrong
I spoke with our man at VIBE and ordered me a nice little setup consisting of

Is the sub a "free air" model?
If it is, then you really need to get rid of the holes in the top piece of mdf...
If it'd not a "free air" sub, then please, put it into a box.
Nice looking kit though!

Don't think he'll be needing a bigger amp mate, the RMS of the sub is 600w and the RMS of the amp is 400w so that's plenty really, my setup was the same power and managed 133.4db with the potential for more in a ported box.

s**t!
The RMS of my Sub Amp is only 125w, which is plenty loud enough for me! (my sub is in a very well designed box though, which makes a huge difference).
My System:
Pioneer HU
Boston Acoustics "Speaker" Amp
Ground Zero 6.5" Components
Kicker "Sub" Amp
JL Audio 12" Sub
EFMAX Sub Box
It works for me

My next one will be an animal, at 1600w RMS and an amp at 1200w RMS

Randall.
Ive heard about EFMAX boxes, the guy seems to be one of the best box builders in the UK. Might be worth getting in touch with him and telling him what you want to make and the space you have.

no point, Erskine doesnt do box design anymore. you are right though- he is one of if not the best (former) box designers in the UK. was employed by eminence at one point IIRC.
real genius as well, Now has a doctorate in behavioural science and has been through a pretty awesome life. genuine guy as well- had the pleasure of meeting him on a couple of occasions

in phase xt 12s
they only managed 615W RMS in the max power sub test tho so 500W RMS all the time mite fcuk em up a bit so ill turn it down a wee bit i reckon

If they're rated at 615w RMS, I'd have thought that 500w RMS continous would be fine to be honest.
