Hi All,
Do to unforeseen circumstances I have to sell my beloved Polo
1.4 TDI PD SE, 51 REG, 40,000
Very good condition, MOT & Tax till Feb 2006, totally standard.
I'm thinking of putting her on ebay hoping I'll get more money that way.
have checked with exchange & mart and parkers and they reckon she's worth about £4980, i personally think that's b@llox as the TDI model is rare.
Cheers

I paid £4000 for a 51 reg 1.4 TDI PD S back in july, allthough it had 70,000 miles on the clock but did have a full service history.

Sorry to p*** on your fire so to speak, but I think you're dreaming if you think you're going to get anywhere near 5k for it.
Sales on 6N2's have seriously slumped, I recently sold my SE 1.4 with absolutely every optional extra on it, 25k miles, 12 months MOT, tax, FVWSH, alloys with brand new Eagle F1s for £4700- and it took me about 4 weeks to even get that.
I think you're looking at about 4.

Yeah Id have to agree with the guy above. 4k is the price these days.
Some ppl seriously over value their cars. I remember looking at a golf r reg i think, condition was sh!t he wanted 3k...
The best think is compare to others for sale and it will give u a rough price guide.

there have been a lot of scams going about from eBay, Auto trader etc. when my bf was selling his car, he advertised in on Auto Trader for about £900, and someone in a foreign place emailled him saying basically, ill transfer 4k into ur bank account, call these people (then gave a phone number) up so you can arrange to have it shipped over to me and then you can send me the excess money back to me.
Obviously this was a con, to get bank details, and an address to start somekind of fraud.
Its just a shame there are people out there who will waste ur time and act like that.

yeah! something along those lines!!
anywho, why would the "client" employ someone to buy a car from them, if they've got the money to employ someone, then why dont they just go to a respectable dealership garage?!
and why would they need YOUR bank details if they're the ones paying you?
