PD Engine tuning

I have recently bought a 2002 1.9TDI PD100 and although the performance is good I was wondering what tuning options are available.
I’ve heard you can ‘chip’ the engine which gives good bhp/torque gains but I have been told this will make the engine unreliable, has anyone done this and is it reliable?
What other options are available any info would be appreciated, cheers.

Revo is a good bet, gains of 40bhp on the tdi 100 and reliabilty.
Just remember the engine in the tdi 100 is basicly the same throughout
the vag range, so is good for at least 160bhp+.
First engine mod you should make is to buy a cupra 160 air intake pipe and a replacement panel filter (K&N, Green cotton).
Thats why I bought a tdi 100 plenty of scope for improvement.

Has anyone on here had the Revo done? Does the Polo TDI use the same turbo as used on the Golf/A3 TDI's, I'm looking into uprating it if anyone has any info.

Had a test drive in a Furby VRs and the salesman said that the VRs has a different turbo to the one on the tdi 100, not sure if it would be compatiable?
