stiff gearbox

iv got the 1.2 65 e
if i do a motorway journey i find the gearbox very stiff and alot more difficult to change gear for proabably 5 or 6 changes once i leave the motorway. this usually after 1hour+ of driving in just 5th.
anyone else experienced this before or know whether it is nornal?
