Hi there I have a Polo MK5 and i'm looking to install an amp and sub. Please could someone tell me the best route to wire the RCA's and power cable to the amp.
Does any1 have any guides as to removing the door panels etc.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Many thanks

Run your power cable through the passenger side (think there is a spare hole in the bulkhead you can use) and run it under the sill trim.
The RCA you can either run down the transmission tunnel or the drivers side (you must keep them seperate though)
If the door is the same as the mk4 you need to remove the plastic on the interior handle (just prise it off) and underneath is two screws which need to be removed, just go round the edge of the door card and prise it off. sorted (if it is different on the mk5 someone please comment!)

karl pretty much summed it up
the sill covers just prise up
the doors are removed like that but where the big flat area is that butts up to the dash is theres a huge metal clip there that takes quite a tug to get loose (and break)
and on teh front gdoors theres a black headed countersunk phillips screw in the top front edge

You don't need to remove the dash...
I just removed the stereo and cubby then poked a coat hanger (unravelled) down in the direction of the passenger footwell...
Then once I'd found where it pokes out, I stuck the wires to the end of the coat hanger using electrical tape, then pulled them through.
Hope this helps

Thanks again for you replies, one more request tho.. I've managed to wire remote and rca's through. But still having trouble wiring the power.
I have it going from the battery into a wire loom but unsure as to where this leads. I've tried removing the glove box but cant see much at whats going on.
If someone can suggest how I may wire the power cable through to the car interior??
Thanks

well for the power on my mk5 it's very easy...but the driver's side is on the left...and I think you are on the right...
if you're looking under the bonnet on the right of the motor you will see a small rubber hole. Take a screw driver to take it off....that's where you'll pass the power cable. Now take a long piece of metal (just use one of these metal support used to suspend clothes...don't know the word in English)....just to pass it threw the hole until it gets in the car...this way you will be able to pass the power cable...
with my driver's side on the left, the hole goes just behind the pedals...when looking in it from under the bonnet, I could see the interior floor

Sorted the problem, but couldnt find a hole to pass the power through. I removed the pollen filter on the right hand side of the car just underneath the windscreen and drilled a small hole through into the dash, removed the glove box and hey presto one wired sub. Thanks again to all.
