Polo GTI news in South Africa

We've just received word that the GTI (will be known as the GT over here) will be available for sale from mid 2006
150hp 1.8T motor is the official motor
Pricing to be from R180,000-00 (£15,600-00)
The waiting list is already 6 months

If you find out what the spec is let us know, you'll probably get a better deal than us in the UK!

Its 0-60 in 8.2sec, slower than thr 1.5T CZT
Its going to start at £14,500 or £15,500 I belive.
Just buy Auto Express, has all the spec and line up in there.

Yeah, Auto Express okay.
But Rob lives in S.A. was wondering whether the spec will be different,
e.g. Interior spec, standard equipment.
It might be slower than the Colt, but we all know the potential of the 1.8t!
