Oh dear :( Side mirror

whoops - wrong forums - could one of the mods please move this - thanks 
My wife reversed my new car into a truck and pretty much ripped off the offside side mirror.
The casing is fine and everything still works, but the boot that attaches to the door is broken in half, so needs to be replaced.
How do I go about getting the mirror off?
