Hey guys what tyres are you running on your motors at the mo? i'm running michelin pilot sport on my standard bbs, pirelli pzero neros' on the momo x1's and just purchased a set of continental sport contact 2 for my porsche rims, the michelins i found to be really good in the wet/dry not had much chance to see what the pzero's are like in the wet as for the conti's will update once they've had a few miles under them.

bridge stone RE720`s which i love apart from they really scream when your "on it "

whats the tread pattern like, do they last ? (with hard driving )

i run Falken451 in 205/40r17 and in 215/35r18

thought these were the nuts because the sidewalls are really curved and reduce scrubbing. but now trying to save for some 195/40r17s from Pirelli

the bridge stones have a very agressive asymetric tread
due to the reasonably soft compound they can wear quite quickly as i have had about 3000miles out of the 2 fronts but my definition of hard driving is this:
i live in the french alps so the roads are usually sloped meaning hadr braking and very hard cornering, i usually go out to drive for about an hour, 3 or 4 times a week and nearly every time i am pushing so hard that the brakes end up a nice shade of orange and the pads that i was using last (kevlar 900 degrees safe operating temp) usually end up fading in a very big fashion, so id say that for hard driving on normal roads the wear will be acceptable (my contis that came on the car went from new to dead in about 1200 miles and that was before i started to get to know the roads and really push things

i'm running budget minerva tyres (or somethng like that!!) Aint ever heard of them before, but they look ok! Seem to handle pretty well to, but anything would after the 90 series tyres i used to have on the 13's..

oh, i have 185/50x14's.. i would like some 185/45x14's, but would pt`rolly have a heart attack at the price... ine were £250 as it is!! for a damn BUDGET tyre!!!!!

On my TT Comps I run Toyo Proxes 205/40/ZR17s, which I find very good as a Summer tyre and will be buying them again.

On my Speedline Corses (my winter wheels) I have 205/45/ZR16 Pirelli P7000s and Dunlop SP2000s. I only got the P7000s yesterday and I find them very grippy, I don't like the SP2000s so they'll be replaced as soon as their worn through.

Yokohama AVS Sports, 195/40x15.

Dry grip is amazing, in the wet even though they were meant to be developed as a rain tyre I'm not entirely convinced. They do however resist aquaplanning very well.

karl try mytyres.co.uk (they are cheap and deliver to your door) polo2k i'm suprised at the hard driving you do mind you if your in the french alps then you'e got the space, we used to have a nissan gt with pirelli p6000 that was a really good tyre, good grip in the wet and dry but then changed them for falken ze502's they are a very good tyre the car would just grip and grip comfortable ride aswell not much road noise, my friend is running some marshalls not good i find the ride rough with them..

a lot of people seem to rate the toyos, shame they don't make them in odd sizes when you really need them..ie 195/40/17 or 195/40/16..would same me a packet..

Harry you'll like the Contis, I rate them very hightly.

The only reason I don't have Contis is because of price. I would've bought two Sport Contacts for my 16s but the P7000s came up at such a good price I had to take them.
Also I have found Toyo Proxes cheaper to buy than the Contis and grip just as well in the dry (not as good as the Contis in the wet mind) so I buy those instead. I only run the Proxes on my summer wheels anyway so I don't come across many wet days.

I run Toyo T1-S's in 195x45x15 and have had a number of sets of them now (that shows that I think they're good!)...

The only problem I have with them is that they don't last very long:

My fronts were new the day before Inters this year and they are nearly down to the wear markers now

But, out of all the tyres I've had (and I've had a lot of different tyres) they're the best.
