i have a polo mk4 6n and i want to put 195/50/15 or 195/45/15 on it. is this possible without havin to do any arch work or any other kind of work?will i be able to put them on with out any probs?? im really stuck on this because some ppl say yes and some ppl say no.plz help.

you _have_ to tell us the size of the wheels first!
we should really make a sticky about this somewhere - if there isn't already.
195 50 15's will fit, and shouldn't rub but it depends on your wheels and offset.
195 45 15 are the best choice as they match the original circumference of the standard wheels and tyres, so your speedo isn't out for a start.
as a guide - these _just_ fit:
195 x 45 x 15's on a 7 to 7.5 inch rim, with an offset of 32mm.
if I bought different tyres they scrubbed at the back - that's how close it was. so some tyres are better than others too!
get some 7inch wheels, and an offset of 32 - 35mm. put 195x45x15's on it. sorted.

and we've just had the worst of Autumns weather, rainfall highest its been in 20 years in parts of the country
save it for an icy day instead, when you daren't take the car out!
