Was browsing on the Skoda site and found this for the Fabia...

Retails at £18. I thought it'd be good for people who want the look but not the increased insurance premiums! :D

Wonder if that would fit onto a diesel with some modding :P

Wouldn't have thought it'd be a problem. They don't list a different version for Diesels and at the end of the day it's only a bit of chrome! :)

Insurance Co's will use any excuse to get you to pay more.

Heaven forbid, but if you were involved in an accident and they saw this, I bet they would still try to worm out of paying!

Looks good! Are TDi pipes not angled downward at 30' or so? Maybe look a bit strange, and with the airflow might discolour your rear bumper and valance

Scorpio1,

The Sport tdi has a twin exhaust pipe so no luck there then.

I also chekced to see if Miltek do an exhaust system for the Polo and they don't - yet anyway.

Ah well, but hey a twin exhaust I'm happy enough! But they're hidden on the TDI aren't they?

The exhaust gasses dont exit through the trim.

If you want a twin exhaust try Simon @ www.red9design.co.uk

Under New Beetle.

Sorry mate what one do you want to know the diameter of ?

I havent got the Red9 one on my car I just know Simon who makes them.

I guess both will fit any diameter as you can just tighten up the jubilee (sp?) clips more or less....

I would just like to add something to this point.

Most insurance companies will only invalidate insurance on a car if the modification that was not declared was a performance enhancer.

So that chrome pipe that only cost say around £20, as long as it makes no performance increase to the car, then they normally would not invalidate your cover if you where in an accident.

I personally hate insurance companies, they have always tried to screw me just like every other young driver.

What I cannot understand is I went to one company for insurance on my current car (Fiesta) and one company quoted me around £6,000 then I went to another company and they quoted me £1,200 for the same cover so I ask WTF is going on, there should be more stringent rules for insurance companies.

Another one that really get’s to me is that my mother drives a 1.6 Renault, the insurance ppl would not insure me on that car as I was to much of a risk, but my father’s insurance company would insure me on his BMW M5.

Arrghh!!! I hate every one of them!

I know P8 SKY has fitted this to his 9n with no problems. But has anyone else and do they have any close-up pictures?

Cheers
