Hey, u mean this one u see a few times here on this site:
http://www.vwpolo6n.de/de/galerie/6n1.htm
right?
It is from the Colour Concept which only the mk4 and mk5 had in germany when i remember right, so complete leather interieur (Recaroseats) in carcolour limited (5Colours: black, Yellow, Green, Blue, Red) and the older style dials were silver and other stuff.
I had a hdd-crash...when i have recovered the whole system with all stuff for uploading pictures for my homepage i will set a few pics online from this badge.
U can get it @every vw dealer, no problem.
Cheers

You are finding it impossible to find because it is a custom thing...
Two BMW M badges cut up.
I first saw it on Carl Taylor's VW Golf in Lax Power back in 1996 or 1998 (when they featured decent cars). Then actually saw it on the glovebox of a mk4 Polo at Inters this year.

I've got a BMW M535i (genuine M car, from the 80s) on my driveway. It's rotting away beyond repair so I might relieve it of it's M badges.
Don't go to a BMW dealer to get the badges... they'll steal all your money...
You'll get some off egay or maybe some chav parts centre like Motorworld or Ripspeed.
