ive just installed a new Amp to my car and rewired - using a 4 gauge wire.

Anyways, i was driving yesterday night and when i stop in traffic, i noticed that my idling was bouncing up and down for about three times. Then it decided to settle down. When i keep the volume low of my stereo it still does it, but a bit less. it also did it with the stereo and amp completely off. But it settle a bit quicker than before i think?!

Ive also had this happening when i open the drivers side electric window and when i close. However this has been going on for ages though. Any1 know what might be wrong??? :?

Think its common for it too do that mate, notice when you put your headlights on it takes a tiny bit of power away, same with the fans and stuff they use more petrol!

yeh, normal car electrics do make a bit of a effect. But with the stereo when i turn the volume up of the sub it seems to bounce up n down a bit too much i think!

Ive been told by my mate that a Power Cap would sort it..can any1 confirm..but what kind would i need, any ideas theres like FARAD 1 e.t.c. and i dont know which i would need?!??! amps 600w max and 200w rms with 4awg wiring.

cheers

All depends, some people don't rate power caps at all. I read on an audio forum that sometimes it puts more strain on the battery, because it has to keep re-charging the cap.
