Hi guys I was just wondering wether the 6n's doors are weak to peeps bending the door frame to gain entry to the car?? Have any of you had this prob and has anyone successfully reinforced their doors?

im not entirely sure what you mean matey.

Has nobody here seen cars broken into by the top of the door frame being pulled outwards? Ive seen it quite a few times and its quite a popular way for little yobbos to gain access. Ive seen peeps do it without the window breakin and bending it back after the doors been opened.
Anyways, this was on a car with skinny doors (cant remember which) so was easily done. I was wondering if anyone has had their car "violated" shall we say in this manner??? Cheers

i dunno about the 6n tho, the doors looks pretty thick, and where the theiving lil scumbags normally put their fingers in to pull the door is sorta inward curled. stronger maybe? im talkin about the 3 door model dunno about the rear doors. so has ne1 had this prob ?

I haven't had this problem, but a thief who knows what hes doing could get in I suppose....

But bendy doors, or no bendy doors, if they want something they will try and get it.

This reminds me of the time when I had to call up my
roadside assistance guys because I locked the cars inside my car.

He used a plastic lever (like a plastic bicycle tyre lever) and an inflatable
pump bag to open up the door. The actual method was to lever a slight gap
in the top of the door, then slide in the inflatable bag and pump it up so
a large enough gap was present for him to stick a piece of plastic through
and pull up the door pin.

I think it is possible, but the above method was quite tricky and took
bout 20-30mins to successfully pull up the door pin and unlock the car.

I did this when some guy outside my house locked him self out....
Also you can quesee a screwdriver in at the top of the window and push it down a bit... then you pull the door pins up...
Now thats how u steal a car.... please dont go out and do it...lol

Happend to me, doors bend fairly easy. Not sure about reenforcing, would prob be very difficult

ive seen it done before.but not on my,,,or any other polo.if a thief really wants something and knows what they are after,they wont hunt an old mk4 polo down.hopefully.

Put it this way, i managed to get into my 6n with a peice of wire and thats it, when i left my keys inside. I wont disclose how i did it but its somewhere along the lines of this topic.

if they want your car there's no way to stop them. even if the doors don't bend, a brick soon solves the problem.

they'll tow your car onto a loader if they really want it.

ahh, the good old universal door key! as you say, if someone wants ur car or something out of your car, they won't arse around like that, brick through the window, grab and run!

i would say in comparision to a mk2 or 3 polo, the doors would be pritty sturdy!

a mate of mine locked his keys in his Nova ( only using a nova cause he crashed his mini and its all he could afoard! o and it didn't quite last the year funnily enough ), a screw driver was used to bend out the top of the door with a bit of wire to lift the button! pritty easy really!
