which ones do i go for- for what im tryna do? > H4.........(which brand and where from)

also how easy are they to fit?
If you're after the blue effect, go for Philips Blue Vision H4 from http://www.powerbulbs.co.uk/
* 4000K Colour Temperature
* Up to 30% more light than standard
* Distinctive daylight from blue lamp
* A unique blue filter creates the distinctive blue light
* UV blocked-compatible with plastic headlight lenses components
* Quartz glass construction for ultimate performance
* Fully road legal - meets ECE Regulation 37

Awarded the highest possible allocade by Auto Express magazine in their 2005 bulb test. Here's what they said...
Best Buy "For the first time here is a blue bulb worthy of our Best Buy award. If you must have the xenon look, the Blue Vision is the best of those tested"
£19.45
They give you free BlueVision sidelight bulbs as well + free delivery :)

And they're EASY to fit, took me all of 15 minutes.

Remember DON'T touch the glass part of the headlight bulb though, always hold it by the metal bit! Otherwise the moisture from your hand might reduce the life/strength of the bulb. :!:

Hope this helps :P

How do you change the bulbs by the way?
Behind each headlamp there's a black case thing, it just unclips when you squeeze the tab. Then you'll need to squeeze the metal clip thing and pull it, it's hinged at the bottom. Easy, you'll see what I mean.

Remember to hold the bulbs by the metal and not the glass!

Sidelights are easy too, they just twist and pull out!

Tip - do one side and then the other so you cam compare the old and new lights! One side yellow, the other white :D

Just wondering, i have halfords super brillaince(xenon)bulbs, supposed to be 50% brighter. anyone know whether there would be noticeble difference between them and the philips?
Or would it be better to get a 16v bumper with fogs?OR can u get a kit for the 8v bumper?
Cheers dudes

What are the Halfrauds bulbs like?

Personally I just chose the Philips VisionPlus because they were top rated by Auto Express, so it's good to have a neutral opinion!

I can't remember seeing any standard 8v's with fogs, but surely aftermarket kits are available. Personally, I'd look into getting HID's from http://www.hids4u.co.uk/, they do a kit for Polos for £220 or so, I think Tej has these on his 16v? But ideally you'd have crystal headlights to go with them....cos I think the beam pattern would look a bit messy through the standard frosted lights...so that's even more money!

:?

Thanks. I'll have a look this weekend :)

Are these bulbs suppose to make a difference on main beam and full beam? Or is it just full beam that there will be a noticable difference?
They're better all round, on every different beam.

Don't expect HID quality but there's definately a noticeable difference. Worth the £18 though!
