GTi badges on the rear

are they just stick on - or do they leave holes behind on the boot lid?

A good old hair dryer and some tooth fluss is the way fourth in your removal 
and you think im kidding.
Warn up the badge a lil bit with ya hair dryer and get that tooth flush behidn and gently slice it through.
If you find your still got some of the black sticky pad there (you will find you have some there) use sum warm soapy water to clean it up and then a lil bit of polish or t-cut to finalise it

cheers guys - i knoew how to get them off, I havent actually gota gti yet..... I saw one for sale without badges and was curious if it had had them welded up (indicating a possible rear end repair!)
