Now that i've got the christmas pressies out of the way i was thinking about putting a few quid away for it's next service.
Has anyone had their 40,000 mile service done ? i could do with finding out what it will cost me roughly.
I was told it will need a belt change ? dont know if this is right, any help/info would be most helpful.
Thanks.

One more thing, Is that a VW price or independent garage ?
Thanks again.

I paid £320 at the dealership for my 40000 mile service (TDI 100), that included the cam belt change, which they recommend.

i had mine done at 37k. dont know if that was a very late 30k service as i left it for quite a while or an early 40k?
cost about 250 quid, but we argued cos they charged us £50 for 'long life oil' that last 3 years....but they'l change the oil next time its in for service

they had oil on the shelf for a tenna!

Thanks for the info lads.
I think £350 should more than cover it, no doubt they will find something extra to sting me for.
cheers.
