Alrite. I have just fitted a pair of mk5 lights to my mk4 polo. I have followed all the advice with drilling the hole and sanding everything down, and all that jazz. But i just cant get them to sit totally flush with the boot-lid. If anyone has any idea what i have done wrong, or havent done at all please help me. cheers

Are they real VW parts or a copy? Make sure the bolts are all tightened

this happened with mine when i first fitted them. try using a self tapping screw to pull the light in towards the body more, this worked on mine and both sides are flush now.

just keep looking in the for sale section, ebay, scrap yard or you could go to your local VW dealer.

the answer is that no mk5 rear lights will sit flush due to a change in the bulb holder position if im correct.
thus they need abit of fiddling around to get them fitting totally flush

thats, i'll keep a look out for them.

just another quick question. i was looking on german and sweedish, and all there lights were listed as lens, just wondering if you get verything with that or it is actually just the lens.

and how much have you all paid for yours?
