Jap spec rear bumper

thinking about getting one and smoothing it, I'd have to get a private plate and shorten it, but i think it'd look cool...

It would be better if the recess wasn't as high though IMO, that width is good, mine looks lost because its about 60mm shorter than a standard plate.

wouldnt you just get a square bike plate, that would fit the recess fine?

a bike plate would look s**t

get a US plate, sure one would come in that size and look trick :wink:

Only thing is, he wouldn't get pulled for a square bike style plate, he would for an american one.

But you have to weigh it up, £30 fine and told to change it, or stick a bike plate on to start off with?

Or just put a smaller plate on.

Whats the point to be fair, just smooth the original one alot cheaper!!

If your not into your vw's no ones going to go cor look at that jap spec bumper, must do that to my car!!

I found that with my front bumper, people that don't know about the MK5 wouldn't know it's been smoothed, as far as they know, it's standard. Suppose it's just personal taste.
