You after the XXX Comps then?
I was going to get a XXX12 but the price and power are swaying me more towards the MX, the RE Amp runs at 1200rms @ 1ohm (although it's underated and apparantly is more like 1500) so the MX's 1600w RMS will be better that the XXX's 2000w RMS

XXX comps would be lovely. Can't afford them for ages though.
I'm actually well happy with my SX18. I haven't heard it in a while (although its sitting 3ft away from me), was in a mk2 gti.
I was feeding it with a directed viper 1200.1 (1200wrms @1ohm) in an 8.7cuft box tuned to 40hz.
My god it was loud. Unfortunetly never got it measured but it was the loudest thing i've heard.
Cant wait till its in the polo

What size box you going for in the Polo? I'm having to go with a 12" as advised by Mr Singh from Blade Ice, because of the box sizes needed.
Still should be fun hearing that, my SE12 was loud (134.3db) and that was only getting 400w RMS
The MX should hopefully be good for somewhere near 150, definately over 140 anyway.
All I have to do now is find about £2500 to buy it all and have it installed.

I can't remember the sizes needed for the 18. I think its 4cuft sealed and 6 ported. If I can get 6.5 in there then i'll port it, else it'll have to run sealed. 6.5 should fit, the boot of a 6n2 isn't 2cuft less than a mk2 golf i wouldn't of though.
Still have yet to have measured though.
Got these pics but there a bit crappy

That's big, would be best to check the measurements though mate. If you ever need advice this is the best number you can ring 01908 610441.
The sizes for the SE18 aren't even quoted on the RE website, how stupid is that.

Im going for the xxx 12 and powering it with either 1 or 2 1000/1 JL amps hopefully, should be loud enough

It's bloody expensive now, £600

Think I'll stick with the MX, the plan is to have RE Audio throughout. RE6.5 Components (front and rear), RE MX12" Sub, RE12.1 amp and if they bring it out the RE100.4 (I think it's called) 4 channel amp.

Please don't tell me your sticking top end components in the back of your car?
You need no speakers whatsoever back there. You'll be using pretty much the best speakers you can buy in the front. You'd never even know you had back speakers!
I'm just componenting the front (amped obviously), sticking the monster in the boot and running the standard rear speakers off the headunit just for back seat passengers.
Trust me. Rear speakers are not needed. Especially really good ones!
We used bass box pro to design the current box, hence i know how its tuned and its exact volume. You physically cannot get a bigger box in a mk2 golf.

I'll have to see nearer the time about the rear comps.
Another update, they're are bringing out the RE100.4 and another monster amp

Okay, after lots of careful measuring, the biggest box you can fit in a 6n2 is 6.4cuft (thats with fitment for an 18, so you could get bigger if you were to fit a 12).
Thats using 18mm MDF and filling pretty much all the space in the boot.
After finding this out i've decided to the the SX18 sealed. Its apparantly really good sealed, just not gonna be as loud as i planned.
