Oscar, you need 4x
1H0 601 171 B for your new centre caps
Thats the code for the carbon-look BBS centre caps that fit the standard GTi BBS alloy, not sure exactly what the diameter of them is but I can tell you for sure that they fit because I have four on my car!
If you ask VAGparts they can hook you up with some
Cheers

Thanks for that Si GTi. I was reading one of your posts on tyresmoke.net
( from 2004 i think

) about remapping your ecu.
Did you get it done or did you get your suspension

.
I e-mailed a company called Torquing BHP in Cambridge about getting a remap. BHP went from 125 to 139 &
Torque went from 152 to 174Nm.
The price was £349 + VAT. If you did get the
remap was this the kind of increases you were quoted.

I didn't have the remap in the end, nope. My insurers will not allow modifications until I'm 25 (must wait until May) so that kinda put the brakes on things!
I was going to have the work done at JBS in Chesterfield, turns out that it's actually a chip rather than a remap but is equally effective, some of the GTi owners on this very forum have had the work done, it might be worth canvassing their opinions of it to see wether or not it is something you would like done? Power will increase by roughly 12bhp (depending on the individual specifications of the car being tuned) and torque also increases. The car would be put on a rolling road both before and after the work to show the increase in power. I myself still intend to have the remap, or chip, done but will be fitting a powerflow exhaust system first and possibly a BMC induction kit before having a remap, in order to gain the full potential of it
In terms of costings it was about the same price from JBS as it would be from Torquing BHP.

I was going to do the same. BMC filter first, then save up for the remapping. The guys a Torquing BHP use the serial port, behind the ashtray to remap. No need to remove the ECU. Thanks for the reply.
