How to fit a Hella spoiler with brake light?

Hi,
I just managed to get a Hella brake light spoiler 2nd hand it's a got a bit of damage which I've fixed with fibre and filler.
It's the one designed for a Polo with a tailgate lip. I'm at uni at the moment and just bought it on the off chance so not sure if my Polo has a lip.
Does a 1998 S reg polo have a lip on the tailgate? (I think it has
)
Anyway what's the best stuff to use to stick on the tailgate? Someone told me Sikaflex but there are so many types of this with similar usuage. Anyone have a ref no. for the right stuff to use?
Also as it has a brake light do I need to drill any holes to get the wire to the rear light cluster to splice in?
