8 guage??

I've just bought a sub and amp, but im not sure what the difference is between an 8 guage power wire and a 10 guage? Once agen, my knowledge is very poor!

10 guage is thinner than 8 guage, I'm pretty sure that amps usually state the best suited guage wire for them.

the cable you need will depend on the fuse rating and/or power output of the amp.
what amp is it?

Its ok I just wanted to know the difference, the amp I bought come with a 10 guage but people on another site said they where a bit crappy.Thanks.
